METABO 627045000 ASC 55 12V / 14.4V / 18V / 36V LIHD / LI-ION DIAGNOSTIC AIR COOLED CHARGER
This ASC 55 Diagnostic Air Cooled Battery Charger is for use with all Li-Power Compact, Li-Power Plus and Li-Power Extreme battery packs (12v, 14.4v, 18v or 36v). It is part of the CAS Cordless Alliance System. Updated version of the charger previously known as the ASC 30-36 V.
One battery pack for everything – Nine power tool manufacturers including Metabo present a joint battery pack system with the Cordless Alliance System (CAS). This is something no power tool providers have done before, having a manufacturer-independent battery pack system. This is a fantastic advantage for the end user in regards to cost - not having to invest in several different battery platforms for different tools across their business, just the one, and a quality powered one at that!
"AIR COOLED" function: the patented principle is based on air-cooling the battery pack during the charging process. The battery packs are gently cooled down to the required charging temperature, and then during the charging process are constantly maintained at optimum temperature. With this principle, a higher tool life of the battery packs and up to 30% shorter total charging time can be achieved.
